Spiritual Chemistry

22 Okt 2009

Chemistry has a spiritual power…it can motivate us to apretiate ourselves in the world…..and make this world look at us completely...we can aplicate and use it connotatively or denotatively….
Denotatively
in Indonesia chemistry is QMIA….and QMIA is
Q → Qur’an
M→ Mukhasabah (Instrospecting by your self)
I → Ilmu pengetahuan (Science)
A → Akhlakul Karimah (Good attitude)

THE "BAGONG" DYNAMIC CABINET ACID

4 Sep 2009

This is "Dynamic cabinet acid".
it is adobted from cabinet acid principle.
decreasing smoke of dangereous reaction such as protein destruction. The reaction uses selen catalyst or combination of NaCl+CuSO4 and will be producted sulphur oxide gases and many other gases.
this product is made by "7th analyst generation" of SMKN 1 Bontang and they call it "bagong" because it shape is like bagong (one of pewayangan actors)...it's a simple product...so, just use your mind as an analyst to make creativity.

GLOBAL WARMING

Research on environment detailed by scientists at Bowdoin College

2009 JAN 5 - (VerticalNews.com) -- According to recent research published in the journal Global Change Biology, "The impact of anthropogenic CO2 emissions on climate change may be mitigated in part by C sequestration in terrestrial ecosystems as rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations stimulate primary productivity and ecosystem C storage. Carbon will be sequestered in forest soils if organic matter inputs to soil profiles increase without a matching increase in decomposition or leaching losses from the soil profile, or if the rate of decomposition decreases because of increased production of resistant humic substances or greater physical protection of organic matter in soil aggregates."

"To examine the response of a forest ecosystem to elevated atmospheric CO2 concentrations, the Duke Forest Free-Air CO2 Enrichment (FACE) experiment in North Carolina, USA, has maintained atmospheric CO2 concentrations 200 mu L L-1 above ambient in an aggrading loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) plantation over a 9-year period (1996-2005). During the first 6 years of the experiment, forest-floor C and N pools increased linearly under both elevated and ambient CO2 conditions, with significantly greater accumulations under the elevated CO2 treatment. Between the sixth and ninth year, forest-floor organic matter accumulation stabilized and C and N pools appeared to reach their respective steady states. An additional C sink of similar to 30 g C m(-2) yr(-1) was sequestered in the forest floor of the elevated CO2 treatment plots relative to the control plots maintained at ambient CO2 owing to increased litterfall and root turnover during the first 9 years of the study. Because we did not detect any significant elevated CO2 effects on the rate of decomposition or on the chemical composition of forest-floor organic matter, this additional C sink was likely related to enhanced litterfall C inputs. We also failed to detect any statistically significant treatment effects on the C and N pools of surface and deep mineral soil horizons. However, a significant widening of the C : N ratio of soil organic matter (SOM) in the upper mineral soil under both elevated and ambient CO2 suggests that N is being transferred from soil to plants in this aggrading forest," wrote J. Lichter and colleagues, Bowdoin College.

The researchers concluded: "A significant treatment x time interaction indicates that N is being transferred at a higher rate under elevated CO2 (P=0.037), suggesting that enhanced rates of SOM decomposition are increasing mineralization and uptake to provide the extra N required to support the observed increase in primary productivity under elevated CO2."

so, what will you do as analyst?
let make creativities to solve that guys.....

advice for analyst

13 Agu 2009

hi...guys....
you are an analyst....n an analyst has to has an instict to analize :
*prosedure
*trouble on lab work
*making creativity
when u analize a chemical in material, u had to knew what will you do n what is it reaction. it's prepared to safety. Analyst has to estimated "what happen" when i do this, when i do that.

this is a few of working area of anlystical chemistry

"Analytical chemistry is the science of obtaining, processing, and communicating information about the composition and structure of matter. In other words, it is the art and science of determining what matter is and how much of it exists."

n this is aplication in all areas of chemistry

"Analytical chemists perform qualitative and quantitative analysis; use the science of sampling, defining, isolating, concentrating, and preserving samples; set error limits; validate and verify results through calibration and standardization; perform separations based on differential chemical properties; create new ways to make measurements; interpret data in proper context; and communicate results. They use their knowledge of chemistry, instrumentation, computers, and statistics to solve problems in almost all areas of chemistry. For example, their measurements are used to assure compliance with environmental and other regulations; to assure the safety and quality of food, pharmaceuticals, and water; to support the legal process; to help physicians diagnose disease; and to provide chemical measurements essential to trade and commerce.

Analytical chemists are employed in all aspects of chemical research in industry, academia, and government. They do basic laboratory research, develop processes and products, design instruments used in analytical analysis, teach, and work in marketing and law. Analytical chemistry is a challenging profession that makes significant contributions to many fields of science."

To our special teacher

Dear mom….
I feel so happy when I’m writing this, coz this is my final tribute for u. not a great tribute mom….this is just expression of my thanks as long as I’m here (in our lovest school SMK…), I study here specially in chemistry. But I not only got the good lesson in chemistry, but also a wonderful experience of life. I can’t give u souvenir, like gold medal, vogel (our pure book, cz I’m sure that u had it) or something like that. Cz they are not my type. I’m better write a letter than give them to u.
In a moment, some one (she is a 1st student) asked to me about u n mr. manto
“ kak, what do u think about join lesson with pak manto n bu melva?”
I just answered “pak manto is good, n bu melva…..?hmmmmm…u will blossom out with her”
U know, I never think like that before.
After so long time, I realize that this is true.
U always give us a motivation to get up…get up from our sleeping, our inanity, our unconscious. That’s ur character, thaT’s so rare at so many teachers. U know how to teach the “geblek” students like us?......
I’m sorry (especially my friends) for our wrong as long as this. We always make u disappointed, angry n any bad sense of u. cz u know “this is us” with many different characters. I hope u will remember us until ur old life (next time), n tell to ur grand child about us.
Thank u for ur goodness, attention n any thing. I just can say a little prayer “God…give her better things in her life”……..thank u..thank u n thank u forever for u n other teachers.

Ur geblek student
